The First Halogen Poster!

One word. SEXY!

Today, Will and I got our hands on the very first Halogen Productions Poster! This puppy is almost as tall as me!

This will be great to have hanging around the apartment, everytime we see it we'll think about the day that it will hang over the entrance to our very own production company! Its alot of work and a long way off, but we're one step closer.

The Birth of Halogen

Platform Animation Festival, June 2006.

This photo was taken during the closing night ceremony at Platform. The festival was the first of many for the Halogen crew (only a party of 2 at this point). Will and I stand, slightly inebriated, with Mr. John Canemaker a world renown animation historian and Academy Award winning animator.

Hanging out with Mr. Canemaker as well as the plethora of other amazing moments that we experienced at Platform was the tipping point I needed to turn the dream of Halogen that I had in my head into a reality. We'll call this photo The Birth of Halogen.

So, I figure I'll give this thing a shot. Here's an image I whipped up today, it's from riot, I'm trying out some different styles. For this one I was thinking kind've Steve Ditkoish, but now I'm looking at it and I realize it looks a lot like the "Hellboy" style. Hm. Anyway I really like print look of color not quite inside the lines, all the time, and little human errors that occur in printing (so what if it's a photoshop painting). More to come.
